I’ve noticed that when I read content that “opens the mind,” redpill, blackpill, whitepill, call it what you want, I gain knowledge and insight into life’s realities, but at a cost: negative thoughts.

Being “bluepilled” feels like a state of immunity, you’re almost always optimistic, playful, and positive. But when you read or immerse yourself in these alternative perspectives, you inevitably carry around these darker thoughts.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of truth in these ideas, how relationships between sexes really work, what drives people to power, biological principles, and more. Yet, the downside is unavoidable: you’re pulled into negativity.

These thoughts, while useful for increasing your SMV or understanding reality, make you cynical, angry, and send your mind wandering to dark places.

On the other hand, reinforcing your mind with positive thoughts daily has its own consequences. It may weaken your SMV, make you less respected, give you less influence over people, and shift your focus from controlling others to simply maintaining a generally positive attitude.

But the difference is profound. It changes the way you experience life.

The same thing happens when you read self-help books.

You feel better immediately afterward. There's a real connection there.

So, how has it affected you?
In what ways did discovering these truths, redpill or otherwise, start to destroy your mindset?
