Nobody is right or wrong 100% of the time.

The reason TRP is so down on 'beta' behaviour is that most of the men who come here have too much of it and that's making them unattractive. Once you've gotten away from the "beta is the only moral way to behave" mindset, you can look at it and realize what the benefits of that kind of behaviour are. It's similar to how TRP always talks about how All Women Are Like That - it's a warning to the unwary, not the exact truth. After all, it's more catchy than All Women Can Be Like That, But They Aren't All Always Like That.

To answer your question, alpha traits make you appealing as a sexual partner - they give a relationship excitement. Beta traits make you appealing as a caregiver - they give a relationship comfort. For a successful long-term relationship you need both, and the desired ratio is different for every woman.

There are three things at play here:

1) Some people think they can stay sweaty, fat, neckbearded broke losers, and they just need to start being an asshole cause that's what the attractive guys do.

Attractive guys are sometimes assholes for the same reason really beautiful girls sometimes come off as bitches: everybody wants something from them, women want the resources a strong independent alpha man can give them, men want sex from beautiful women.

This is why the top of the pile kinda people come off as assholes/bitches. You have to offer them something if you want to be their friend/mate. In terms of sexuality that's beauty if you're a woman and resources if you're a man.

2) Testosterone, the main male hormone will make you aggressive to an extent, dominant, standoff-ish, aka "assholes". (No you can't have my resources just because you think you deserve it. Fuck off, prove your worth and I might think about it -> what an asshole!) Blue pillers typically don't have a lot lot of that going on, they just give away their resources, what good guys they are!

3) Not too long ago (let's say like 50-60 years) being red pill was basically the norm. Men were strong, they didn't give a shit, they knew their worth. Basically every man had these qualities that have been lost in men in our modern society and that TRP teaches to find and implement in your life. Back then, when women said "I want a gentleman who treats me right, who isn't emotionally distant, can be charming and has a soft side too", what they meant is that they want a red piller who has a just enough blue pill that he doesn't slap her around every day after coming home from work.

This view has been totally perverted and we get emasculated boys in their 30s. I personally think this is intended because people "in touch with their emotion" can be easier manipulated through emotions aka you can sell them shit with advertising easier. That's why men were made more like women and women got more power and money to spend in the economy, let's not go there in this post though.

I'm still on the way to becoming truly red pill but the way I see it RP is a toolbox. My aim is to remain a nice guy while remaining true to myself. I guess you could say my priorities have just shifted. I still like to do things for others, but not if it's at the expense of what I want in life.

There's nothing about TRP that demands that you be an asshole. We permit it but that's about it. Go back in my post history and look at a post I made from way back ago, before I even got endorsed, called "the red pill in as few words as possible". It covers the topic pretty well.

You seem to have a poor grasp of the redpill concepts (strength, self-determination, execution of will, health). I recommend learning more, since your statement is meaningless.

Being an alpha doesn't mean you are always an asshole. The fact that I even need to say something so obvious means that if you give a shit about learning, you need to do a lot more reading.
