Dating apps are all the same, because all dating has always been the same. Gen Z thinks there's something unique and horrible about online dating, but dating organically was exactly the same for Millennials. We just didn't get to do it in our comfy pants and had to shave our legs for some guy to make a crude remark. No matter what kind of dating form you use, you're going to be talking to flakes, fake Christians, openly horny guys, men with lame jobs, etc. Watch an episode of Friends or How I Met Your Mother. Dating has always sucked. We put up with it to meet, marry, and procreate.

I met my husband online. It's the number one way to meet. By all means, take a break from it if you like. Based on another comment, if you're practicing Wicca and trying to date Christian men, you might be the issue, though.

I wouldn't expect you to have success with Christian men while also playing with spells and Wicca and such. So maybe the problem is that you are not attracting the good men because of incompatible values.

Do you follow RPW? Have you read the articles here or books to understand what drives and motivates men? Because religious or not, men are attracted to youth, beauty and sex. Religious men want to be attracted to their wives too and they have a right to choose just as we do. I get online dating is hard, all dating is hard… but blaming men for their desires isn’t really fair.

As far as I've heard, all the dating sites are owned by one company, using the same algorithm and the same predatory philosophies. Even without that, online dating is vastly inferior to friends/family recommending someone as there is no vetting whatsoever.

I met my husband in my early 20s on OkCupid in the summer of 2020. I will say I was becoming more devout in my faith, often going to evening weekday services as well as Sunday mornings. There were no single men at my church. I had to sort through many toads and worthless conversations before I found even a single genuine person to talk to. Having your own faith based questions will help weed out the no-gos. Don’t rely on the branding of the site to do the sifting for you. Do you believe in God? Do you believe in/practice celibacy until marriage? What is your testimony? Are you active in your church? Do you study scripture? Do you pray? All fair questions to ask of any professing Christian.

If you’re going to church specifically to search for a husband, you are there for the wrong reason. Church is time to connect with fellow believers, study scripture together, ask questions and pray for each other. You should also be pouring into yourself and leading a full life whether or not you have a romantic relationship. Reach out to friends and family, have a regular workout routine, develop a time consuming hobby, meditate, study scripture, read for pleasure, volunteer, try to achieve small victories in your workplace.

I met my fiancé on a Christian app called Ark back in November. I’m not a big fan of all the swiping and everything feeling so shallow. I was feeling discouraged and about to give up but then we matched. We are each other’s answered prayer. It’s all thanks to God.
I like the site Christian Cafe a lot because it’s less about swiping and you can write about yourselves and have people get to know you a bit before they reach out. It’s paid but they give away free days sometimes. The only major issue with that site was finding someone close by but I live a bit rural in the US so you might have better luck.
