Most of life for most people is miserable. However, the first world misery for men is compounded with the promise of happiness (a lie) and the empty time to feel useless and be miserable.

My grandfather was an illiterate farmer who worked hard until he died. This included fighting in both world wars. He also had 14 children and lived until his 90s. There is no modern convenience that compares to that.

Like, yeah, sure, I'm glad I wasn't born as some slave or whatever. I know that there are people who suffer more than me.

But I also did not inflict that suffering on them and their misery doesn't make mine better. I'm not a sadist. In fact, I'm against all the wars and foreign interference so far as my government is concerned and involved.

So, yeah, I feel you.

HOWEVER

This is all kind of past tense for me. I left Australia about 6 years ago now. My only regret is I didn't leave 20 years ago. Is life hard? Yes. Do the tendrils of Western propaganda reach even here? Yes. Is life perfect? No.

But it's the best I've ever found and it's somewhere actually worth struggling for.

No, I'm not going to dox myself, sorry, but each of us is different anyway. The point I'm making is not to come live with me, but to just find somewhere that you are appreciated. The start of my journey was abandoning Australia because I refused to ever again sacrifice my blood and sweat and cash for a country that hates me. And there are plenty of places that do value good men and their contributions.

Its up to you and only you to decide about finding meaning in life. Dont let other people dictate what should be important to you.

If you look for something to give life meaning, i think that you will find it. In time you will learn what life has to offer, and also learn how to avoid society's hardships and disruptions.

Honestly our only superpower is being good at doing real shit that actually matters.

We need to get past this thing of defining our gender identity as having the biggest muscles and being able to beat up the UFC heavyweight champ (nobody can, he's the champ), or else we're garbage half men.

I don't think women sit around in darkened rooms cooking up global conspiracies to undermine us and make us feel like we're dog shit, but their insatiable craving for free shit and social ladder climbing is often on our backs at our expense.

Forget about being the most alpha alpha on the entire planet. Be good at what you're good at, which is mostly confidence, fairness, competence, rationality, independence, but also teamwork with other men, having interests in things besides your feelings and your current social network/hierarchy like most women. That can lead you to accumulate knowledge and skills throughout your life.

Our grandfathers knew it, the secret to a happy life is building a great life for yourself one step at a time, one day at a time, not being born taller than some other dude and slaying pussy. Get that shit off the pedestal NOW

Once you get your nervous system in order and find a few hobbies that keep you busy, it’s not half bad. There are hundreds of millions of people living in slums of unimaginable poverty making the best of things, so I think average men can too.

Plagues. Wars. Famines. Religious turmoil that lead to genocides. Poverty that lead to people selling their children into slavery, or sending out to steal from the rich, instructing them to get caught, because imprisonment meant survival- or if they were hung, a quick death.

That was the past. The closest thing we have had to a plague was a disease that had to be tracked differently from any other disease in human history in order to keep up the media frenzy, and even then was barely half as lethal as the great and terrible killer known as "chicken pox".

If this is "hellish", then what gods did we descend from?

This is wallowing self-pity. Live life, take chances, have fun. Work on yourself, get some skills that pay well. Life is hard and easy at the same time, depending on the choices you make.

I don't know how old you are, but start a retirement plan - sacrifice a bit and invest $10,000 each year into an ETF. If you earn 10% on it, after 30 years you’d have approximately $1.7 million, enough to retire and live decently in many countries. And if you say that's not enough, then save more per year or else save for 35 years. Nothing will be given to you - you have to earn it.
