Yeah, I don't know—I think this website is a mess.

Many of their references are just news articles that don't cite primary sources. They also rely on studies that haven't been peer-reviewed and often draw conclusions that simply aren't supported by the evidence.

For example, under "Rape and Sexual Assault of Men", in the section "Reporting by Men Is Limited", they state:

"Male victims suffer 'recall bias' that makes them more likely to minimise or dismiss their own victimhood as time goes on."

They then cite a study that doesn't actually make that claim. The paper simply explains what recall bias is and discusses its methodological implications. It doesn't examine sexual violence reporting by either men or women, nor does it conclude that male victims are especially affected by recall bias.

For the record, I do think recall bias does influence how male victims report or remember victimization over time. But that conclusion cannot be attributed to the cited study, because the study itself does investigate it.
