So after reading around TRP for a few weeks it seems to me that lifting is a HUGE part of self improvement? It seems so fundamental that no other form of excercise is suggested, at least from what I've seen.

Why is that? Is lifting inherently better at sculpting a physique that attracts women? Is it more "manly", even when compared to things like boxing? Is there some sort of physiological for physiological advantage it provides that other physical activities don't? Does it teach lessons that you wouldn't learn elsewhere? What is it about lifting that makes it the go to excerise for this sub?

I've been thinking was thinking of picking up karate again. With the all the emphasis on lifting, would I be better off just lifting? Is there any downside to doing both? I ask because it's easy to access both at my university and I may as well take advantage of it but karate costs money. I can afford it but I'd rather not spend money if lifting nets me way better results on its own.

TL;DR: Why is lifting the go to excerise for TRP sub and are there any disadvantages to pairing it with another sport?
