I’ve been seeing a girl for a few months after me and a friend moved to a different state for work. We spend most weekends together alternating between her place a few hours away and my flat. Shes really cool – funny and clever and sexy as hell, and always up for it when we’re together. She works for a company that promotes health and fitness for kids, and she’s really into football, karate and lacross, so shes fit too.

My problem is she seems really obsessed with a ‘celebrity’, an old sports star guy. She has a big poster of him in her bedroom and little toy figurines of him and others, and when I first saw the poster I laughed and said he looked like me (beard, clothes etc) and she said he didn’t.

A few days ago we talked about sexual fantasys and she kept giggling and not answering. So she wouldn’t tell me, but after I kept going on she went out of the room and came back with this fake leather mask thing and said she wanted to fuck me while I wore it. So I tesed her for a bit about it and the next night I did it and she loved it.

On the way home the morning after I started to feel sick about it. I wondered if she liked it because another guy had fucked her while wearing it, so I asked her who wore it before me. She swore only she had at Halloween. When I got back and told my housemate about it, he looked on his phone and showed me her stupid wrestling guy wearing the mask, so she obviously bought a cosplay version.

My friend said it’s a shit test to see if I react or if I bother to look into her hobbies out of jealously, and I should never wear the mask again because clearly she is thinking about this guy who is porbably a millionaire or something. I just want to call and say “hey, I get that you have a crush on this guy, but do you like me as a person or just as a dummy for him?”

When we disagreed he told me to post it in this subreddit. Who is right? What should we do then?
