A basic strategy for investing is buy low, sell high. Maximize profit.
Fear of missing out is a term in investing that has an investor making poor decisions in a fear of missing out. Such as a particular stock or crypto currency has a sudden surge in price, causing the investor to make a rash decision in buying at the top price. The next following day the stock plummets, and the investor sells and loses a ton of money. That’s just a small example, there are other types of FOMO, but essentially it is making decisions based on emotion, and not on discipline or logic.
I’ve seen a few posts from members of this subreddit having concerns about women, or a specific woman, or relationships in general. If this is the case, take a moment to think “am I afraid of missing out on something?” Ask this question in the frame of not just whether you are successful in fucking/dating/ or being in a relationship with this person, but also is this FOMO mentality affecting your behavior and decision making?
If you really want to buy the “stock of a woman”, then buy low. Be blunt, ask her out for coffee, and you will know how well it will go if she says yes. If she says no, easy peasy, you can move on.
Don’t spend extended periods of time thinking about her and worrying if you “have a chance” or if you will be “friend zoned”. Racking up hours texting, snap chatting, and going in circles. That’s a long term investment you are buying at a high rate. It’s not worth it. This is how simps and white knights are born. How many men FOMO’d themselves into a marriage and kids, only for it to lead into divorce and child support? You would be amazed at how many people make important decisions based entirely around their fear, and not on logic, discipline, and enthusiasm.
It’s not just women. It’s education, Is a degree worth the potential time, debt, and dedication? Is it tied to your purpose and enthusiasm? Or are you doing it in fear of missing out in some future you may really not want? It’s jobs. Do you accept the job because you really want it or do you need to pay bills? Will it add more stress to your life? Is it worth your time?
There is more pressure on men in so many ways in modern society than ever before. MGTOW is a philosophy of coming to terms with these pressures, and making the best decisions for ourselves. Sometimes we think we want something because we are FOMO’d. Take some time to think what’s best for you, not what you fear you are missing out on.
