I'm a guy, and I have recently become aware of the mens rights movement. Or rather, I was vaguely aware of it and dismissed it as a collection of bitter, whining, woman hating friendzoned neckbeards posting on 4chan's r9k board about >tfw no gf.

I have recently started to listen to it however because I stumbled across a couple of videos that made me think about things and see that things aren't exactly peachy. However I think that what also isn't peachy is the way in which MRA get their message out. It could do with a change in emphasis.

Its nice having things like facts on your side, but clearly its not enough to change peoples minds. If facts mattered in changing peoples minds then feminism wouldn't have gotten things to the point where they are today.

Emotion is stronger than reason. Stories are more convincing than statistics. We have all of these things, but we have something else too

Standup comedians can talk about some serious issues, and they can only do so because they make people laugh while they're doing it. Comedy is an asset that MRA needs to make far more use of, its a skill that men clearly have in abundance over women, and its one that feminists sure as shit do not have at their disposal. If you can laugh at an idea then it becomes hard to take that idea seriously, and there's so much to laugh at in feminist rhetoric and hypocracy. But the trick is to do it without sounding like you're whining.
