Hey guys. I don't post but I'm having a real hard time. I won't go into the big long story but I'm looking for advice from dads who have done it and how they made it work.

I had to take a lesser position at work to be able to stay around my kids M7 F4 and and have a schedule that I could have them 3 night a week. However this has caused much more financial hardship and instability than I originally thought it would. I work in sales for a RV dealership. Most months I'm barely making it between bills and debt payments.

I have an opportunity to go back to my previous position which will get me back to a more comfortable financial position. However I would need to move two to four hours away and don't know what my schedule would be.

I feels like I would be the biggest piece of garbage to leave my kids and only be able to visit occasionally. Not to mention all the time and fun and cute little moments I would miss not being around like I am now.

Most of the advice I have been given is to move because that gives me the best shot at providing for my kids and being a better dad because I'm won't be so freaked out about money and will be able to be more present and fun when I have them. Just feel so defeated and ashamed but most of all angry that I can't make it work.

Any dads or children of dads that have been through something similar and how it worked out. Any advice is much appreciated.
