So I work at a small college campus and was engaging in a conversation with two student workers, both female (HB8 and HB 6). Conversation turns to "Not needing a man" to which both agreed.

I followed up with "Don't need a man for what?"

HB 8 suggests she can provide for herself and doesn't think there should be any "glass ceiliing". "Oh so you are for 'Equality'", I asked. Both agreed.

I followed up... "So you are willing to give up traditional female privilege in order to be granted traditional 'male privilege." She responded that she'd still want men around to open doors and move couches when she needed.

At that point, HB6 says, "You can't have it both ways. If women get both male and female privilege, THAT'S NOT EQUALITY".

Even though HB6 made the point, HB8 turns to me and says "So, are you saying women have to be subservient?"

I just smiled and said " I didn't say anything like that. I just asked a question."

Kinda surprised me that the HB6 got it.
