Because women think short term unlike us men, and sure we men can be just as unfilled in the long run, but at least we try to find things to keep ourselves busy with by our OWN WILL. A man's happiness comes from self discovery and expanding his horizons (that also includes taking risks and getting out of the comfort zone) where as a woman's happiness comes from societal and communal work.

Happiness comes from within. If youre a person who relies on others to make you happy, you'll never be happy. This is why women need relationships infiniteley more than men. They can never look inward and find contentment in themselves because when they look in the mirror they genuinely dont like what they see.

It's because of our society. It has exploited the female brain and it's gone into haywire. Just look at the lyrics and the tone of the music they listen to. Men are just now starting to catch on that something is very wrong. Hence MGTOW. Women haven't evolved to be able to properly handle having so many casual sexual options. You'll never keep a woman happy if she is still sexually available to the entire world via her phone, or her short shorts when she's out in public. You didn't see the Apache Indians allowing all their women to run around looking like hookers and hitting up strange men from other tribes. Lead your wife or lose your wife.

I think it has to do with evolutionary psychology. Most of our cavewoman ancestors were the ones who would jump ship to get with Cave Chad instead of sticking by the shitty hunter.

Like a lot of human behavior it doesn't really quite line up with life in the modern age. EG, if they have a 6'2" pediatrician they'll be haunted by the thought that maybe they can land a 6'4" surgeon if they dump him.
