Don’t wait for closure- especially from an LVM, he isn’t worth it. The best way to move on however... just leave and never, ever look back. Show him he ain’t shit!👋

I can't stress this enough, but you don't need 'closure' from a guy who neglected, abused or disrespected you. 10 times out of 10 they're not going to change and all of a sudden have a mature talk with you about it.

For women in abusive relationships, this is even a more serious and very dangerous time, were the odds of being harmed or even killed are very high.

You don't owe anyone 'closure' and you don't need contact with your ex to get closure yourself. There are 100 different ways to get closure for yourself that don't involve being tricked into the relationship again or being verbally or physically abused: write unsent letters, go to a licensed therapist, get rid of all his stuff in a campfire, just to name a few.

Again. You don't owe anyone closure.

Just started doing this for myself.

It's been really hard since I just ended things with my ex and he was my best friend a really kind and generous person. Unfortunately our relationship burnt out and I was just dragging it out as long as I could. I didn't want to cut him off but I know for me it's the best. It's been 4 days since and its sad when I think about it but my friends have really been here to support me <3 I hope he's doing well too, I know he has his family so I wish him luck

And of course with the universe being funny a guy I used to talk to popped up in my snap the next day and I immediately blocked him and deleted his message didn't even read it. I stopped talking to him because he just wasn't as responsive as he used to be and generally didn't seem to respect myself or my time.

I felt bad but I know I need to hold myself to a higher value and standard or else I'm going to keep ending up in these situations where I'm taken for granted..
