Let's not be so naive. She was never sexually assaulted by her ex. The majority of women claim to have been sexually assaulted by exes, but it's almost always fabricated as a way to disengage from them mentally and socially. Women make the claims to their new boyfriends to 'otherize' the exes and take them out of the picture to alleviate any awkwardness and discomfort. I was a recipient of it - twice! And I have heard the claim from nearly every woman I have dated. Fabrications are especially true in cases where they continue to stay in contact with their exes (just as those who made spurious claims about me continued to try and talk to me as if nothing has ever happened), even into marriages to other men.

In this specific case the sexual assault likely never happened, and she just misses the sense of adventure and thrill her ex gave her.
