Try to befriend him.

There's no point in being the angry beta who's trying to cringeworthily show off for m'lady.

Fighting/Trying to put him down is only going to make you look butthurt.

Don't do it; work on yourself and in a few years you'll be the guy that you're now envious of.

They do their own thing, live their life while impacting those around him. Guys get jealous, girls get hot around him.

How would you "challenge" another male for attention without it being painfully obvious or try hard?

You can still pull women without being the most outstanding in the room.

There will ALWAYS be someone better than you. Some people here say to befriend them, but I think that would immediately put you in a weird supplicating frame. Just do you normally and accept that someone else is beating you at your game. Try to learn from it and appreciate that you've got qualities that make you more appealing in your own way.

Girls have specific preferences and the most "alpha" guy in the room doesn't universally appeal to everyone. He's also just one guy.

Try befriending him, or at least acknowledge him positively (without resentment) and just be your own person.

If you're a prince with 100 knights in your princedom, and the King nearby has an army of 750 knights in his kingdom... What would you do? Give up? Go to war with the king? No... Try to ally yourself with him, trade with him, or at least go to work building your princedom and make nice with the king in the meantime.
