In this askreddit post about complete wastes of money, this user argues that bottle service at clubs is actually quite worth it. His group of 8 paid 700 dollars for the experience. The whole thing is worth a read but I'll highlight the interesting parts.

We cut directly past the general admission line and get 2 big scary dudes to escort us through the club to our booth. The booth happens to be on a stage, front and center of the dance floor. Only people with the important rich people stamp could get up on this stage and the booth is yours for the night.

The party enforcer would (forgive my sexism here) walk between us and the dance floor pointing out girls for your approval. Give him a no and he moves on to the next one, give him a yes and he invites them to come party with us in our cushy booth which would appear to be filled with the young, rich and powerful. It's not, it's just us, but appearances are everything.

They're really living like kings here. Instant access to a popular club, their own roomy area inside the club, and a bouncer that points out girls in the crowd that he brings over upon your approval. Much better than the commonfolk with nothing quite to this scale to distinguish themselves. That kind of status should make it easy to get laid.

And it got me laid... so there's that too.

Who didn't see that coming?

Overall that comes to just under 100 per person, which is less than some people blow the whole night without having anyone at the end to blow them. These men are also being treated practically like modern day royalty, with so many helpful people that take care of them and give them a memorable experience. I think this guy got a pretty good deal.
