I have been a long time lurker and consider myself pretty well informed when it comes to RP theory. I have been with my LTR for roughly 7 months and things have been going great. Although tonight something bugged me i couldn't quite put my finger on.

Cut to the chase,

My LTR text me saying, "Do you want to ring me sometime when you're free"

I figured sure and knew this is her round about way to say she wants to chat. So i text her, "I'm free." Thinking she will oblige and call me cause she text me first.

She then text me saying, "Ok, you talk if you want to talk." I don't know why this bothered me but for some reason it did. I was rather indifferent whether or not i talked to my LTR but now somehow its on me to call her even though she brought it up. Also if i don't she will be offended now because i have no reason not to because im free.

I text her back saying, "name, If i wanted to talk, i would."

she says, "Oh ok, well i didn't want to bother you if you didn't want to talk."

Its a lose lose.

Women don't take rejection well, so they tip toe around getting what they want, in this case asking questions that have underlying ulterior motives. Fair comment?

For thoes who have listened to the Black Phillip show i believe Patrice O'Neal also touches on this same thing that i am trying to explain. The scenario where his girl at the time asks,

"What side of the bed do you want to sleep on?"

He replies, "This side."

Then she says, "But then i won't be able to see the T.V."

So somehow just by asking a question they automatically put you in a bad spot. Its a GUT reaction we have when this happens. Patrice says they are humble but arrogant at the same time.

I hope this rings clear to some RPers out there. I know there is a solid RP reason for why Women do this but i can't seem to grasp why. It might seem very trivial to a lot of you but for some reason this shit bugged me.
