I'm mid-twenties-ish. Good job with promising career path. Nice place, good cook, do fun stuff, no debt, etc. I'm the classic "husband" material. We all know what I mean. I've been at this sub for over a year. My mindset when it comes to women has done a total 180 and I'm thankful as hell.

Anyways. The girls I see fall for me hard. My standards are now very high for what girls I'll really commit to long-term (so far, no dice, only red flags). When I'm not ready to throw "boyfriend" level time and emotional commitment to them, they get frustrated and we reach a breaking point. We have that talk, they want more, I decline, she comes back a few times anyway before finding someone else.

My question is does keeping them around for longer come easier with age? These girls have a hard time swallowing the fact that I'm not interested in marriage at the moment. I'm truly not. I want to do to many things career-wise before that happens. The lack of that benefit from me drives them away, I think.

When I'm older, will women be more inclined to accept that I'm serious about my direction in life? It seems like the guys I've read here past thirty have more girls who just want to be on someone's "team" at that point (marriage dream-age having come and gone).
