TRP is never about "what" you are doing. It's about why you do it and whether it is effective.

If it's crazy but it works, it's not crazy. Red pill is about results.

Dressing well is a sign of wealth and social competence = high value.

I dont know if this will help you but here is my take on it.

Works for some guys on some girls.

Depends on yourself and your target audience.

Some guys do better being somewhat unkempt and some women prefer guys that dont spend ages worrying about their appearance.

Some guys do better being very careful about their appearance and some women prefer men who take care of themselves.

Basically it can go either way in the female mind: * he sure takes alot of care with his appearance, he must be insecure * he sure takes alot of care with his appearance, he must be dark triad

There is no way to know for sure. It depends what you feel more confident wearing, if you feel more confident in a plan tshirt and jeans then so be it. If you need a suit to feel confident then so be it. The idea is whatever it is you are wearing you have to feel confident.

Personally I try (and sometimes fail but thats another story) to tailor what I am wearing to the sort of people I'll be interacting with OR with my current mood. If I feel especially classy, I'll pick a nice shirt; if I feel rebellious I'll wear something more grungy.

And yes taking care of yourself can be overdone: DO NOT (i found this via lots of trial and error) cover yourself in fancy perfumes, shower gels, deodorants. You'll just end up smelling like soap or worse, a bit like a woman who spent ages in the bath. DO NOT spend ages agonizing about what to wear, just pick anything from your wardrobe that looks reasonable enough for your audience/mood. If you can avoid (or keep it to the minimum) facial creams and cleansers and so on, let your skin find its own natural balance.

I will say this as someone who's older. Getting facials and treating your body well from a grooming perspective will come into play later in life in that you'll look younger and healthier than those your age. It makes dating younger women that much easier.

There are a lot of people on here who use terms pretty loosely to describe things they don't like. Politically loaded terms and metrosexual are always among them.

I'm not convinced that I want to spend a lot of time on my appearance, but good grooming is definitely RP. Even if you're a shaggy beach bum, at least be a well presented shaggy beach bum. Some people may take it a little further than that. I'd like to know if it works for you
