I've asked in /r/askmen and /r/askwomen how important a car is to attracting women. Most of the answers were "it doesn't matter".

I get the nagging feeling this is not the case at all. At least for pre-wall women that are very attractive.

My own personal experiences: -I used to own a semi-crappy Porsche 928, but it still looked pretty good. Once at work we were all going to some luncheon, I parked in front of the office. A hippie-ish no makeup sort of girl took a look at it and said "WOW, I want to go in that car!!" From then on she started flirting with me and asked me to go camping with her after she got a divorce (she never paid me much attention before) -In high school, some rather pretty girl mentioned she'd fuck any guy with a jaguar, fat ugly or whatever. -Knew some 50 year old dude that got a corvette - shortly afterward he fucked his daughter's 18 year old friend.

I think a nice car can affect your own self-confidence, too. A couple times I borrowed a friend's jaguar convertible, and boy did I feel special tooling around in that. Funny thing is that car is about 15 years old. This friend of mine regularly bangs girls in their 20s (he's in his 40s), though being a lawyer probably helps out there, too.

Some guys on /r/askmen claimed motorcycles are chick magnets. I've owned several and didn't find that to be the case. A bright red ducati I had seems invisible. Though once an office chick hit on me after seeing me on a bmw motorcycle (she said something about her uncle owning one, so that might have been some familial reinforcement).
