I have a weird looking piece of clothing I wear, caught girls laughing at it and I ignored it, am I still wrong for rocking it?

This is a minor question and I know I shouldn’t give a fuck.

But there’s this particular piece of clothing I own which I personally like, all sorts of people have complemented me on it, even some girls, but yesterday I caught two girls laughing at it once they saw it. In my mind I didn’t care and just saw them as trying to be superior to me by laughing at me

But overall am I just making a fool of myself if I still rock this piece of clothing? I feel like I should do what I want without caring what other people think but it gets irritating if people want to act like that?
