Been lurking, absorbing, putting theory to test, and wanted to share with you all my experiences swallowing TRP thus far.

A little background to set this stage. I have a wife of 7 years but have been with her over 9 years , we are both in our early thirties, four younger kids, I have a stable rewarding career, and was constantly trying to make everyone happy while neglecting my own needs. There have been the usual ups and downs but the constant emotional rollercoaster needed to end I had no clue how to end it. All that aside, I recently found myself hopelessly lost and searching for how to take control of my life. The internal conflict raged with hatred for everyone. My wife was constantly fighting with me over everything and everything had always been my fault regardless, my wife refused to do anything, I had been depressed and was on anxiety pills, I was an emotional wreck, I lashed out at others, and I disregarded my well being while focusing on everyone else's.

I came across the following blog, http://theredpillroom.blogspot.com/ while searching out how to better my life. The words I read resonated with how I felt. Those words filled the empty sentences in my brain which I had not known were there. My observations in life were confirmed and the blog made me feel like I had been here before. I found the truths presented there to be self evident.

I eventually found my way to Reddit and the wealth of information and experiences here. I then began by telling my wife I was done being a pussy and letting everyone in life walk all over me. I also stopped taking my anxiety meds cold turkey the first day of my awakening (not a super huge dosage to begin with) but about three days later I had horrible withdrawal and it was fucking me up bad. I then took a smaller dose and have almost weaned myself off over about a week and feel much better. I maintan frame to the best of my ability, and have been implementing other truths I discovered. My sense of being lost has vanished,

My wife has not responded well at first because she had no clue how to respond. I continued to maintain frame and after about a week of her trying to maintain the status quo, I can see the subconscious changes on her end. This has been extremely difficult for me to implement and I am learning the balance from my trial and error, your experiences, and other advice posted here.

I am grateful to you folks for sharing your knowledge. Had I not been ready and swallowed the pill myself, I'm sure I would have continued the same miserable existence. If you have LTR advice to share from your experiences, please do. I am finding others experiences about shit tests, maintaining frame, abundance mentally all very informative to me. But if there is something important to, then share.

I also would like to offer my observations at this point in my journey from my perspective:

  1. The saying about, you forgetting the face of your father. This has been coming back to my mind for a few reasons I believe. My father was a typical provider but not much of a role model. How can you forget the face of your father if you don't respect that to begin with? I think it's coming to me because I have four boys and want to lead them on their journey in life with the right tools. I know I am on the right path to my boys clearly remembering the face of their father.

  2. It's clearly going to take a while to strike the BP/RP balance I have read about.

  3. the terms I have been learning like, hamstring, are spot on.

A few questions:

  1. For those of you who have done away with anxiety meds and are in a LTR, how did you tell your other you did this without them flipping out over it? I have not told my wife I stopped taking it and she has not noticed as of yet, was curious about others experiences.

  2. How have your kids taken to you taking TRP?

  3. For those of you married and hopelessly BP before swallowing TRP. Did your wife fight it every step of the way, did she even realize it, how do you handle the questions of so you just woke up one day and bam, changed...

  4. What helps you maintain frame around someone you had been severely BP around before entering LTR. I have experienced progress but would like your insights.
