I have been somewhat active on TRP and eventually made my way to MRP. I have been with my wife since I was 16, we dated through high school and then I joined the Navy. I was a beta who could fake it in high school and joining the Navy was my personal rite of passage into manhood and TRP.
It was in the military that I became ‘Alpha’ and fortunately for me my wife and I made it through 2 deployments and hundreds of underways. We have 2 kids and are continuing to go strong after being together for 11 years and married for 6.
I bring this up because I have been seeing a lot of posts on here from men who are asking some questions that raise some serious red flags. Some I think are trolls; others may seriously have the issues and are in need of help.
I don’t post too frequently because I think it is better to post quality over quantity and I don’t have too many quality thoughts that haven’t already been discussed, so I keep my mouth shut. But, I have been getting the urge to post my opinion as I think it may provide another option to what has already been presented to the individual.
With that said, I made this post so when I do reply, the person can see where I’m coming from in my history.
I am writing a book on a the concept of ‘The Family Alpha’ and it is basically covering a majority of what we discuss but in a way that will appeal to the guys who will never come to TRP because they are intimidated or don’t see an issue with their current status as a ‘man’. I have read quite a bit from Rollo and several of the other users here who started their own blog. I think that is something that many husbands here are missing. We live in a time of instant gratification and it has spilled into MRP. I highly recommend to every man here, to check out the links on TRP and read through those blogs. Several of the top posts on this sub right now have already been discussed and advice provided, yet the questions keep coming back up.
I understand we are all unique in regards to our specific life scenarios, but women are all the same and the logic provided to deal with them is universal.
So, please check out The RM and the other blogs provided on TRP. I certainly hope I am able, in some sort of manner raise the standard of this sub. We are doing great things here, we just need to remove some of the static that comes with a growing number of members.
