op don't think of this as a shit test or a comfort test. it's not time to reassure her and it's not time to agree and amplify or evade or fog or anything. it's time to put your fucking foot down.

next time she pulls that you tell her in no uncertain terms that you're sorry that what you did hurts her, and you'll work on it but you really can't make any promises because that's your nature and you refuse to live your life with a shrew. she either gets over it and shuts the fuck up or gets out.
