I had my second baby! She came early by about 2.5 weeks and I had a fantastic labour and delivery experience. Hard work and painful but fantastic. She came in 6 hours from start to finish and I had no interventions or pain medication. Husband missed it since she came early and he was out of town working but I had my midwife and doula there and we were a perfect team. She is 2.5 weeks old now and is a great addition to our family. Big sister is doing a great job telling the baby she loves her and giving kisses and things.

My husband was able to get here later in the day she was born and is now on parental leave so it's been amazing to have a lot of family time and his support during night feedings and changes, etc.

Happy to answer any questions about pregnancy, labour, delivery, and newborns while it's fresh in my mind.

The baby is 5 months this week and I can't believe how fast it's gone. I still love him to bits and genuinely just like being with him. I have some separation anxiety though...and leaving him with my in laws alone or my husband takes a lot of will power. Will this get better with time? I trust my husband obviously (and my inlaws) but I always feel a little lost the few times I leave the house without him.

I wonder about the best parenting media you all have encountered? Personally I loved Your Competent Child by Jesper Juul.
