Tl;dr: I have a new female workmate who won't push for further excellence in our outputs though there is more room for improvement. Any advice on how to maneuvre?
Thanks for helping me out in my last post. I've taken the dead end job, found out it pays well. Won't stay there for too long, no career highlights for this one, but at least I'm making bank.
We have a 6-man department and only one woman in the team. I work with her intensively in our specific team of two. She has a face of an 8 body of a 12 year old. Used to have a relatively high-profile job before this. Isn't the witchy type. Generally knows how to maneuver around socially. Feminine.
Whenever I try to push for higher quality in our outputs, she makes a point that the company wants more quantity than quality and that our content is already good enough. I can still see some more improvement by being able to do both, but her pushbacks to just create output without pushing the boundaries makes it feel wrong, especially because I know we can do better.
I know I have to be careful because this is a new place of work, but at the same time I want to achieve and push for better despite being in a dead end job. I know my output can do better. Any advice?
