Title says most of it, but as a bit of context there was this chick I was hooking up with off and on. Then she found out I got a new job where I made way more money and would accumulate ungodly amounts of air miles. A few weeks before the new gig, she said she liked me and wanted to see where things would go and we were hooking up more consistently. Super naive me thought it was because she was turning a corner and saw my value.

Then one day, she said she heard rumors of me holding hands with someone else and called me out on it. That was a bogus rumor, but in our conversation she eventually did catch me in a few lies. She made a scene about it and flipped out.

In the process of calling me out, she had her best friend call my best friend and ask for intel about the girl I was "holding hands" with. My friend told her I lied about a few things, but within this conversation, her best friend said to him "dude, she is playing [insert my name] like a fiddle." He forwarded that along to me obviously.

It is clear that I have been had, and I am glad I figured out before I actually spent any real money or air miles on her. But I'm curious: what is the best course of action going forward?
