We all know it's good to have options and to be doing something important with our time.
I was supposed to hang with this girl on a Monday and she texted me the day of and I just ignored her. She texted me the next day that she was worried something happened to me, so I text her back. She suggests Friday. I say maybe, but I'm thinking Saturday or Monday. I tease her a bit, etc. She tells me I'm acting like a dick and doesn't like me rescheduling or blowing her off like she doesn't have important things to do (it's really rich when girls say this). I tell her I'm a very busy guy, which isn't always true, but hey sometimes I don't wanna hang with her.
I say we would go to the movies on Monday and she says she doesn't want to hang with me. I say alright and no contact since.
How could I have handled this better? The line "I'm a very busy guy" feels very cringe but it's the best I could think of because I didn't want to apologize to her (obviously). Best method for now seems to be no contact. Anyway, how in general do you deal with this? Obviously I have to raise my SMV so girls aren't like "wah I have stuff to do."
