Long story short, a rather distant friend of mine is angry and calling me a "fake friend" because I fucked a plate of mine (one I've been off and on with for the better part of 10 years) after he was supposedly "talking" to her. I had no prior knowledge of their "talking" status which personally i find the idea of loyalty due to "talking" to be complete bullshit. He's known of this girls existence for maybe 2 months and admitted to me that he never had any sexual contact with her. Yet he's acting like he has some claim to her loyalty as if he was currently in a LTR with this woman. I'm not trying to be a dick, but her "loyalty" to my friend was easily broken by two text messages. (one asking her to come over and another dropping a pin) Once again, she did not express that she had any feelings toward my friend neither did she mention her uhh.. "relationship" with my friend. Now, should i feel obligated to apologize to said friend? I'd hate to burn that bridge but I'm also fairly confident I don't want to associate myself with such helpless behavior, "blue pill" as it's been described. Nor do i want to validate his irrational anger and reinforce the same "blue pill" psychological processing it took to get him in the state he's in as of current by giving him what he wants. Anyone see a pragmatic solution that allows me to maintain friendship while not validating his frame?
