Since discovering this community almost a year ago, I have found that one of the harder improvements in my life has been in learning to accept responsibility for things regardless of the outcome. This extends into the idea of refraining from finding excuses or laying blame on someone/something else. Overhearing conversations, reading news articles and even talking to close friends, blame seems to be a natural and subconscious response to anything negative.

Failed that test? The teacher sucks!

Girl doesn't like you? She has no taste in men!

Workout didn't go well? It was too hot in the gym!

This is a foundation, of course, of how females hamster. They receive an input and concoct a reason that takes the responsibility off of them. The point of this post, however, is not to beat a dead horse and try to explain why women hamster. This post is a suggestion to men who want to feel more in touch with reality and escape the fairy-tale that we paint for ourselves with blaming. If you begin to take responsibility for your failures, you WILL be more productive. As logical a thinker, processing a bad situation for what it is and applying the experience to future endeavors will not only make you more adept at handling them, but will also make your triumphs that more enjoyable.

Failed that test? Study harder, pass the next test.

Girl doesn't like you? Hit the gym, find a hotter girl.

Workout didn't go well? Push through it, get stronger.

Stop blaming things, even if they are partially responsible. Taking responsibility WILL lead to more success and make you into a better person.
