Scenario that happened this past Saturday. Was standing outside waiting for Uber on corner with LTR. LTR was facing me and I was facing street with my hand on her hip. Car slowly drives by and driver stares at LTRs ass which was out toward street.

We make eye contact, I smile. He goes back to staring. After a few more seconds he shouts "You're a lucky man" and I replied back "She's the lucky one." He stares some more, then drives off. We go our separate ways.

LTR never noticed since her back was turned but asked about my comment. I told her and she got grossed out

I know I shall not mate guard but I thought it was disrespectful and a provocation.

I've seen the LTR ruthlessly shut down guys when we're out. I usually smile, enjoy watching the interaction, give the guys credit in my head, and move on. Never bothered by it. But for whatever reason this car scenario got to me.

Do my thoughts toward this situation evidence a weak frame or was it disrespectful? Would a more aggressive response been more appropriate, which would have only escalated the situation? I normally don't feel the need to showcase bravado but instincts almost got the better of me there.

Edit: Thank you all for the responses. Some very good suggestions and comments.
