Dating her for 4 months i'm 23 she is 20, when we're together in person everything is fine, but a few times now during her period she has mentioned she has doubts about us and i'm worrying but soon as her period ends she is back to normal, the last time it happened I broke up with her but then she sent me some guilt trip messages and I forgave her.

I feel I am the problem as I have been way too nice and even needy at times so I am starting to change my ways, she told me I need to chill out around 4 days ago so I have taken that step back.

She is always blunt over text but this is the texts from yesterday:

At 21:18 she rang me and we was on the phone for 3 minutes and basically said the same thing that 'you know what you're doing' 'if I did this to you you would go crazy etc' and I just pretended I didn't know what she was talking about, she then asked if I was going out tonight with my friends and I said yeah, she put the phone down and text me again at 21:24.

The reason for doing this is because sometimes I get the impression that I'm the only one that cares and makes effort, I have had enough of being the one in the relationship that cares too much and feel I need to take a step back and let her come to me.

She has since read my last text of 'You too x' around an hour ago and hasn't replied, for some reason I feel the urge to message her but I guess that will be the wrong move? I think she is going out tonight and don't want her making stupid decisions just because we have argued.

Yes I know games shouldn't be played but I feel this is the only way to change things, I have been too much of a pushover and I know in my experience as I have done it myself that this is human nature to take advantage of someone.
