What the professor proposes is that fertility should be put on the school curriculum, and teenagers taught about the effect smoking and drinking have on reproduction. For her pains, she has been howled down by women who resent the professor “scaremongering” and telling them what to do with their bodies.

Grow up, girls. Professor Nargund is hardly stirring up unnecessary fears; she’s stating hard facts.

To quote that article that has been posted a year ago: "nature isn't a feminist".

In short, a toxic combination of biology and economics means that Katie’s generation, the girls with the greatest freedom in history, feel they have very little choice when it comes to doing what comes naturally. And this isn’t just a personal problem. On the macro level, entire countries face ruin because no one has yet figured out how to combine greater opportunity for women with population growth.

Yeah... people not connecting the dots because of wishful thinking. Women made the job market more competitive due to their presence, and even worse made living more expensive since landlords raised the rent simply because they could (due to the large amount of DINK families). And on top of that they can't simply drop out because young couples need all the money they can get - they are practically forced to have a job and as a consequence compromise on having kids because of their schedule).

That's the sad truth - the "greatest freedom in history" of that generation of girls is connected to their plight, and not totally unrelated.

I make enough money that I don't really care if a woman brings an income to the table. If she does that's great, if she doesn't whatever. What I don't want is a 35-year old wife who is losing her fertility (and physical attractiveness) and can't have kids.

Because what's the point of marriage other than passing on your genetic legacy? I can get a roommate without getting married. I can get sex without getting married. Hell, actually, I could have kids too via surrogacy without marriage if I really wanted to. So what exactly does marriage nowadays offer a man other than the chance to procreate and be a father? I'm still trying to figure that out, if anyone else does let me know ...

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What I don't want is a 35-year old wife who is losing her fertility (and physical attractiveness) and can't have kids.

Neither do I. Also: the woman of 35 is pretty likely to be in compromise-mood. You don't want one who deep down is resentful because she thinks she could have done better before.

[–]Senior Endorsed ContributorCopperFox3c6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to mention that a woman who is 40-years old is 20 times more likely to have child with significant birth defects (e.g. down syndrome) than a woman who is 20-years old (source), or that a third of pregnancies at that age end in miscarriage (source).

People need to quit feeding women unrealistic crap about putting off being a mother, because if that is something they want they shouldn't be waiting so long. As you noted, "nature isn't a feminist". It's both funny and kind of sad to see online dating profiles of mid-30's women who definitely want kids, and it's like "maybe you should have thought about that earlier".

[–]BrunoOh2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to mention, if that 35 year old would make such a great wife and mother, how come that no one has wifed her up in two decades? And why should you?

It's like that house that's been for sale as long as everyone can remember. It is a sign that something is wrong with it.

Women made the job market more competitive due to their presence

competition drives down prices. In this case, its the price of labor. A woman would rather earn 35K and her man earn 35K than just the man earn 70K and reap the benefit of specialized labor.

If you educate girls and boys equally, and girls even outperform boys (which they do), then you need a system

Yes a heavily biased and feminized system that has drugged up millions of little boys. Funny how women just love to pat themselves on the back after stabbing little boys in the back.

And the solution to everything is always a system. No, you dumb cunt. The system IS the problem, because it produces dumbasses like this woman who write about how, after the system has failed, we just need more system!

[–]Ailer6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a political science professor once tell me that the difference between the left and right was that the left blamed the system, and the right blamed the people; I see you are also a proponent of this idea.

Personally, at this point, I'd blame the system and the people who made it in the first place. And I most certainly wouldn't trust them and their ilk to make a replacement system, despite an earnest belief that people should fix their own mistakes, and take some personal responsibility.

We're in big lie territory here. Everything has been tainted by the lie that women entering the workforce is a 'good' thing: the people, the system, everything. Did you know that, for generations, only men and celibate women were allowed to be teachers? I wonder what happened to that system? /u/exit_sandman had it right in his comment: we already changed the system, and its made nothing but problems we refuse to see thanks to wishful thinking.

[–]Kill_Your_Ego2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh feminism is a complete failure and is destroying our society and economy? I have the solution! More feminism! Clearly it's just weak men screwing feminism up! If only we can do even more for women, like change the laws of nature, then maybe women will start growing happier instead of setting the record for unhappiness every single year.

[–]TheThingsIThink 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

girls get better grades. Boys do better on the aptitude test. Boys scores in writing go up when a female grader doesn't know the students gender.

[–]makethemsayayy 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this infuriates me so much. Sorry but i don't care if it's "women's nature" you don't fuck over children and drug them. this is fucking insanity and nobody sees a problem with it. I guess all I can do is take any spawn I make out of this fuck ass west.

Feminism is "Fertility Negative"

Back in the 1970's people openly discussed the miracle of reducing fertility through behavior modification. (delayed childbirth, contraception, work as a distraction)

It worked.

It in fact has worked too well and the 3.7 birthrate of 1960 is now down to 1.8 in the US.

Red Pill has it's matching Infertile Alpha so parts of Red Pill actually merge with Feminism.

Only the Neoreaction and Dark Enlightenment elements are Fertility Positive in thought.

[–]harryrl27 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This

Traditionalism is what we need. We need to rebuild these elements of our countries to end this spiral into degeneracy and infertile populations.

[–]NeoreactionSafe3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

In order to rediscover traditionalism we need to reawaken to simple natural truths about things like men and women's nature.

Red Pill is often degenerate, but you have to know the truth about behavior to study it.

The raw Red Pill truths rip open the lies of Feminism and in that trauma we can Enjoy the Decline or we can become optimistic and Enjoy the Collapse that we know is coming in the form of the Misandry Bubble.

There is no singular Red Pill outlook.

You are given the truth about Sex and about Power and must decide how you use this truth.

Traditionalists should go to the Neoreaction and Dark Enlightenment subs for further study.

Less people around might make the earth a better place in the run. Resources are finite after all.

[–]harryrl27 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I would stand with you but these dropping fertility rates are happening in white and asian countries. You shouldn't applaud the demise of your people. Immigrants for sure arent having less babies anytime soon.

[–]fortifiedoranges5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

"So you need the on- and off-ramps to the labour market to work smoothly and without quibble. You need flexible working to be the norm, wherever possible, during the child-rearing years. You need heavily subsidised childcare, starting when the child is one year old (as suggested last week by Labour’s Yvette Cooper), not three or four. You need to help fathers and mothers to share the care of their kids (the Coalition made progress here). You need to pay the many women who want to stay home and raise a family to do just that, which would be a long overdue acknowledgment that “productivity” is not the preserve of those who work outside the house. (If you don’t pay them now, you could end up paying for the care of childless old people at the other end of life.) Oh, and you need affordable housing so couples feel they have a nest to raise their chicks in."

I don't need any of that.

[–]1London-Bananas7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Flexible working" eg showing up on Monday mornings sometimes and on Wednesdays between 12 and 14 when Venus and Jupiter line up. Yet still getting paid royally. Oh maternity leave is almost up? Better have another one quickly.

"You need to pay the women who want to stay at home to do that" ah the classic pay-women-for-being-women argument.

[–]makethemsayayy 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Like are they serious? That is pay for being a woman. For doing nothing but being a woman.

[–]Science_isthenewcool 5 points5 points5 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Why do you think they are unreasonable, just because they want it all...? Everything handed to them on a silver platter with bells and whistles because they have a vagina. Never mind that man and woman kind have been rearing kids without these measures for millions of years. The special snowflake princess syndrome at play folks.

[–]bulldoozer 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Basically. "Go to college and just have fun, too young to settle down. Then, explore the world and 'discover yourself'. Then career time, I don't need a man! Oh, I'm 30 now? Better find a guy who is willing to settle and have kids in the burbs in an over priced house. You know what, think I'll be a stay at home mom like the other neighbors"

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"and you know what? I'm tired of feeling like a slut by fucking Chad on the side so I'll divorce-rape my beta and get even more money to do nothing"

[–]mrmeyhemn7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

of course a promotion is not as good as motherhood. with a promotion she still has to work. with motherhood she gains a minimum of 30% of a mans income for what amounts to sitting on her ass for 18-24 years, and if she evicts the patriarch from the family she gets welfare/housing/child support etc. if she does this to 3 men she doesn't have to work until the kids all move out.

edit: ive seen these women in action, and lots of them are out there. they have 2-3 kids by different dads, house is a mess, sink full of dirty dishes, dirty laundry piled 2 feet high in every room, beta bux boyfriends come and go to "help with the bills".

they truly do want everything handed to them. even if this woman got her way she'd still complain that her "compensation for being a mother" isn't enough to hire a nanny and a maid.

[–]Gaslov1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I might be part of a different class but I know my wife, who is a stay at home mom for my five children, doesn't sit on her ass. In fact, I don't think she ever sits down.

[–]TheThingsIThink 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

when my wife was staying at home my home was a shit hole, the DVR revealed she was watching 6-8 hours of TV a day, the clothes & dishes weren't done. It was terrible.

[–]mrmeyhemn0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

ttit that is what a lot of my married friends have to deal with, my last 3 girlfriends were like this, have dated several women like this throughout my life. gaslov I guess that makes you one of the "lucky" ones....

[–]bulldoozer 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

in all seriousness my buddies and I love talking investments, and the merits of investing in some publicly traded companies closely involved with things like egg freezing. This is a very real trend in America and if it doesn't go away anytime soon (I don't think it will) then we might as well make money off it. Women are getting married later, becoming more independent, stretching the limits of fertility, while making more $$$ (more than men now for young adults).

This will be a growing industry over the next several decades unless people see feminism for what it really is

[–]WingedHussarx0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So humanity lead by women?

I feel like this is one of those "What if" I'm curious to see but not eager to live

[–]bulldoozer 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can see it already: go to a country like Singapore. No one gets married or has kids. Everyone is so focused on their careers and then using whatever money they make on clubbing or vapid materialistic bullshit. The government I shit you not has run public service announcements PROMOTING unprotected sex because the problem is so bad there.

[–]herewehoagain 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As with just about everything else, people only learn the hard way.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminist solution: make companies pay for women to freeze their eggs. In other words, make men pay for it

[–]RK-no0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is feminism, having your cake and eating it.

You have to choose between a career and children. That's it, there's no way round it, that's biology and it can't be beaten.

I was fine with this article until it got to the end. The fucking nerve of this woman to call for women who stay at home to have children to be paid to do so.

Some bimbo at work has actually told some of us that she wanted a permanent job because she can get 9 months maternity leave and she was only doing temp work before, where you can't.

It genuinely sickens me. If you want to know why the economy everywhere is fucked, then look at employment legislation relating to females.

Mistake #0: giving them the vote.

What idiot did that.

Mistake #1: allowing them into the workforce.

You'd think that an increase of 100% of the available workforce would double productivity - nope. Women produce nothing. They are mostly employed in HR anyway. To push pieces of paper round a desk and get people fired for breathing too loud near the boss's desk.

Mistake #2: not giving them an ultimatum of 'career or children, your call'.

They now get away with murder, like the example above.

Mistake #3: paid maternity leave.

Whoever thought that up must have been laughing all the way to the bank. "And then I said, hold on, it's too funny I can't. Then I said, you should pay me for lying on my back getting fucked and for the 9 months after that, when I get to stay home and play with my kid!!! Hahhaha."

Salary down the drain. Even more so than if she's actually in the office.
