Although I agree it's a double standard, generally speaking, it's a bad look to strike a female, especially if you outweigh her. If she's hitting you the best thing to do is walk away and file a police report before she does. Bottom line: if you hit her, you're going to jail no matter what. And if you do win the fight, what exactly did you win? The only time you can strike a female is if you legitimitly fear for your life or serious injury to your person. Like if she has a weapon, then all bets are off. But if she slaps you, don't even bother hitting back. Shit, just yesterday the police came to my shop looking for a coworker for domestic violence. We all know the guy is dating a crazy bitch and the story I heard was she pulled a knife on him and he hit her... So obviously she went to be cops first and now he's sitting in a cell, awaiting trial. Even if you win, you lose. So my advice, walk away if you can, it's not fair, but it ain't worth the shitstorm that will rain down on you the second you throw that punch.
