Justin Bieber Calls Female Fan "Beached Whale" In Australia: Report

Classy kid! Justin Bieber didn't get into a bar fight or pee in a bucket backstage this time. Instead, the 19-year-old international superstar reportedly called a young woman a "beached whale" as she chatted with friends at Perth's Hyatt Regency in Australia on Sunday, Dec. 8. According to News.com.au, the "Boyfriend" singer made the harsh and very uncalled-for comment to the woman while she and her three female friends were wearing bikinis on a deck.

"One girl who was gorgeous looking, with long dark hair and would have been about a size 14," Helen Robinett, an image consultant on business at the time, told the site. "Justin looked over at her and said 'What are you, Hawaiian or something?' She said, 'No, I'm not.' Then he said, 'You look like a beached whale'… The girl said, 'Are you serious' and he said, 'You should go on The Biggest Loser.'"

Robinett continued: "The whole pool deck heard him call this beautiful young girl a beached whale. Everyone heard. And there was silence. It was almost like his security were used to it." Robinett was so displeased with the act that she also made a formal complaint to the hotel.

A second guest staying at Perth's Hyatt Regency also allegedly saw Bieber making a cruel gesture with his hands shortly before the incident. "[He imitated] a large belly as he spoke to the long haired girl, and I heard him say something about The Biggest Loser and he was pointing at her," the guest told the site. "I saw the girl and her friends leave, downcast. Bieber seemed to think he was funny, he was smiling and looking to his burly minders for their approval."

I'm not an expert, but I though size 14 was fat. Especially considering the dress size system has shifted by about 4 sizes in the past 50 years to account for people getting fatter.

yeah you really are no expert, given that Australian sizing is wildly different to what the Americunts here are used to. A size 14 in the US is our 18-20. A size 14 here would be an American 10. here is an Australian celebrity, Ricki Lee when she was a size 14, and another.

Depends on a woman's height, too. A woman who's 5 feet tall and a size 14 will probably be visibly chunky. A woman who's 6 feet tall and a size 14 may not be.

Ricki Lee is a size 6-8 in Australian sizing now, that photo was from years ago but that's what the average size 14 here looks like. A size 14 is not considered fat here. Size 16+ is fat by our standards and always has been. Most stores young women shop at like Supre or Ally will not have sizes bigger than 14,everything is size 6, 8 or 10.

I just googled her. Holyshit does her weight fluctuate so much! She lost 30kg in 3 weeks. Amazing!! I agree, she looks normal now and a more fitting size 8. Very nice.

For consistently making headlines for all the wrong reasons. There's nothing to be proud of. If rihanna gets flak for smoking marijuana and being a slut around town, justin should receive the same treatment too. Calling a fat lady a beached whale without any good reason other than the fact you are justin and can get away with shit like that is uncool and immature. He's 19 years old. When I was that age I would roam the streets looking for skinhead patrols (usually cca 10-strong) who would patrol the streets during weekend nights looking for victims to beat up, and I'd get into fights with them.

There is a reason why men use 36-24-36 when describing a woman's body and not just size xx.
