Helen Smith is also not hard on the eyes. Feminists must despise her.

She's married to one of the most popular conservative bloggers.

Only Nixon can go to China.

This is fucking fascinating. There is one common thing every single man on this earth fears and that is a divorce lawyer, damn right! Also I am a college senior and can confirm and attest that I have a feeling of anxiousness and cant wait to move on from this godforsaken stage.

I grew up thinking that your 20's are the best times of your life...

[–]thatkidthatsux8 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We hear over and over again that these are the best years of our lives, so we are ashamed to let anyone see our suffering. Feelings of uncertainty, self doubt, trouble balancing a heavy workload, parties and bars got old and so dating became nonchalant and complacent.

Meanwhile, it can seem that everyone else has things together. It takes a long time to recognize there is a basic commonality of feeling stranded in a private struggle.

In retrospect, we realize that there is nothing anyone can do but go through these years.

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.

Every year older I got, things got better. 25 was when it started getting better. 20-24 was shit.

Opting out didn't help Japan.

[–]Endorsed Contributor30303030303030 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

men opting out means bad things to economy

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely. While feminists shriek how superior women are and that they don't need men, the government enforced pedestal they shout from supported by male dollars is eroding by the day.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

feminism was created to destabilize the economy and destroy the family unit. Look up Aaron Russo and feminism.

[–]semigod__ 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

thats just not true.

yes, feminism destabilizes the economy and destroy the family unit - but it certainly was not the reason it was pushed. maybe for additional cheap labour, but thats where it ends. stop these conspiracy theory.

my take is the following: at first, socialism tried to power by appealing to women, hence socialism embraced feminism and pushed it. but today, feminism is the driving force, which dictates the direction of socialism : women are pushing the welfare state, and they push it in a direction that benefits them - see obamacare.

another point, while im at it: i thought for a long time that you could never introduce a bachelor tax, simply because by taxing bachelors you would automatically have to tax spinsters as well, assuming you don't want to violate the "gender equality norm" in a very obvious way.

but think about this: give women free access to having a baby whenever they want (sperm donor etc) at any age they want without having to consider a father, and you can tax all bachelors you want - which will now primarily be men. most single women will be excluded from this tax - because they have a kid.

a very gender-neutral approach to tax men. just like obamacare.

[–]pjcelis 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Augustus introduced such taxes in the Roman Empire already.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lex_Papia_Poppaea

It is a matter of time before this happens in the west.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm getting my information from a very credible source. Aaron Russo, who used to hang out with a Rockefeller. Rockefellers funded feminism in the beginning. Anything that has to do with money, these guys are involved. But I guess I may be getting "too conspiracist"-ish for this sub.

In any case, I'm not making my own judgments here.

Indeed, and it may be the only way society realizes the mistakes it has made. I believe MGTOW is going to be very bad for the economy, and that will be the wake-up call people need. As a self-interested person I will be rationally opting out of what society dictates, as it is in my best interest, but I do not pretend like it's in society's best interest.

[–]WAFC 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think it's supposed to help, just make the best of a bad situation.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

> They’re boycotting a society that not only fails to reward but also punishes them, simply for the unfortunate fact that they possess a Y chromosome.

I'd like to say that men aren't necessarily boycotting, they're only opting out. To boycott implies to make an effort to avoid something in order to protest. For men, it's not the end of the world to not accept a bad deal. MGTOW is a shrug, not a shout. Women are getting the bad end of this deal.

[–]Modredpillschool 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Agreed. I didn't originally make the decision not to ever get married on some principle... the factors just never lined up in my head to make it a good idea..

[–]TheEyeUrnShaft 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For me it's simply a matter of:

"Would my lawyer ever approve a contract where the other party has the option of opting out at any time, for any reason, and is rewarded with 50% of my assets for doing so? Or would he chase me out of his office and yell at me to find a hobby?"

(It's the second one)

[–]TheEyeUrnShaft 39 points40 points41 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Marry your dude friend for the tax benefits and knock some married guy's wife up to have kids. Make sure they have one together already obviously.

[–]Gorgonzola54 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Idea: Lets give women what they want as a test case. Give them an island/area with only women so that they can run shit and see them rip each other apart within 10 minutes.

A woman tried that with a woman/only marketing and advertising agency. They tore themselves apart fighting over purses while not gaining any success with their business.

Look at the pic they used of her sitting forward with her tits falling out. She's a whore not a businesswoman.

[–]Mayoyayo 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Would a society that strictly enforces gender roles be able to prevent what happened to Japan?

[–]SarahC 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Matriarchy builds wide - so you get inter tribal wars VERY frequently.

Patriarchy builds tall hierarchies... with less people in the main driving seats... less wars, but bigger.

One lends itself more to division of labor - and creation of complex societies.

There's some interesting papers on African tribes - mostly matriarchal, but some patriarchal.

[–]le_king_falcon 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes but the second feminism touches that society the decline begins. Feminism at its purest level should remove all the shackles of gender roles. (I liken feminism to communism, a beautiful idea but in reality it becomes a corrupt self serving cesspit that is equal to the very worst of that which it sets out to oppose.)

But as the female centric name suggests it only bothers doing that for one gender. Which leaves men with all the problems and no freedom. Whereas women get all the benefits and the ability to effectively opt out of almost all responsibility. Given that choice why would anyone choose to take the bad?

[–]Nemester 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is it just me or is the herbivore movement in Japan not directly comparable to western culture. I see it as its own separate entity that has nothing to do with western gender wars.

Oh, I totally agree with you, I do opt out of the marraige scam. But I guess I mean, I will not opt out of being a man. Still going to lift, eat, have hobbies and shit unlike the most of the male youth of today...

[–]cobalt17282 points 12 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

Not sure why you got down voted...

I am still trying to find a job (just graduated college) and even though the market is TERRIBLE (only girls seem to be getting jobs...) I am still going to fight for it. I am still going to lift my ass off in the gym, I am still going to eat well. I am still going to play drums and guitar and make music. Fuck that.

I refuse to become a nerd or herbivore loser in Japan just because society is hostile towards us.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It depends on what Dr Nikk means we should not opt out of. Marriage? Stay away. Education? Stick with it.

Fuck marriage. The laws are completely against us, if you think its a good thing for men then you are delusional or ignorant of how it actually works.... Or you are female.

[–]iseeyou1312 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Name a single benefit for a man to get the government involved in his relationship with a woman.

[–]Nemester 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is it true that girls are more hired than men? Why do you say this?

[–]Huffdaddy127890 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What is?
