I got involved in my local PUA community 10 years ago. At that time, the Red Pill wasn't a thing, but there was certainly similar ideas circulating around. So I guess I'm a RP hipster. Overall, I'd say our community back then was less toxic than nowadays, with a bigger emphasis on bettering yourself. I started to notice a heavy shift around 2013-2014; most of the oldies were gone and the new guys were much more hardcore about this whole thing. Some woulf save up and take a sabbatical to "learn game" by renting an apartment downtown with other PUAs. Empty shells. Most incredibly mysoginistic. Many, I believe, were rapists in the making. I was afraid to go out with those guys.

I went back and forth for years, usually coming back during the summer because I was lonely. Came back in 2013, 2014, then in 2017, then in 2019. In 2015, I started to have doubts that my initial involvement fucked me up on the long-term, but I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. Still, the conditioning remained like a rotten core, so I went back to PUA theory not because it was an addiction, but because it was my instinctive way to cope with my suffering. Every emotional catastrophe in my life would throw me back into it because I'd try to fight my feelings rather than understand them.

Somehow I freed myself in late 2019/early 2020. I'm now identifying all the wrong values I based my life on and the list is growing. Activism against toxic masculinity is important to me because I feel like the manosphere stole 10 years of emotional maturity evolution from me. RP ideas can absolutely ruin decades of your life. Preventing young adults from adhering to it will save them a lot of suffering.

I found it last year, on a Tom Leykis video. At first I thought it was hilarious, but the deeper I got into the red pill, the more fucked up I became. Also, I wasn’t in a very healthy state of mind. I was already depressed but the red pill just made it worse.

my mental state was already in a bad place but RP made it 100% worse. it took time and unlearning to get over it tbh but i do acknowledge that it has good parts in it and shouldnt be completely rejected

I don't know because I've been on the all round self improvement for a while. A lot of it isn't new to me and I can see through some it to it's root argument. The terms of the manosphere, I'd say about 2 years. I was in a good space with myself and women in general. I'm able to come to my own conclusions on all things red pill.

I believe the goal of the red pill is to come into contact with it , grow and then leave. Stay too long and you can become the things it wants to save you from like 'AFC' and other tags.

Came across the red pill last year. I had a platonic female friend that I was getting mixed vibes from and it made me very confused and I got pretty friend zoned. I looked up videos on how to communicate with women and I came across Elliot Hulse and Matt Cross videos which I found ridiculous at the time so I didn’t touch them until a few months ago when I was on the fence about it. Wasn’t particularly happy At either time so my mental state wasn’t ideal. was pretty socially isolated and lonely which attracted me to it again. I’m Happy I never got too into it and recently realized it won’t actually get me anywhere I want

I had a pretty brutal breakup and a buddy of mine that was already in the community started influencing me. Saying stuff like, "its not your fault, women are incapable of loving like men can," or "she probably just wants to ride the cock carousel." After this I tried improving my dating game by watching all the "coaches" on YouTube.

I found out about it because I was into evopsych. Redpill people claimed their ideas were based on evolution so I checked them out and have been making fun of them ever since.

2017 my junior year of college, I was 21 years old didn't have a girlfriend, thought time was running out, school was bad i had a bad GPA, ny mental state was at an all time low. i started spewing talking points from it and my friends were terrified. I spat out the redpill in 2019.

I came to red pill after a friendzone experience. First lookin’ to pua videos to learn to get out of it. Like AMS, locario etc. After that I came to red pill videos like coach red pill, greg adams, 33 secrets and stephiscold. By practicing their advice I came to realisation that it’s manipulation. They say woman want to be dominated and treating them with respect they don’t like. Now I see that the woman they play the games with are mostly damaged and aint word it.

By spitting out the red pill you see clear, feel more positive and look to the world with a healthy view.

I founded at 2018 when i was having succes with all the girls but anyways i have a fear to the crecent feminism so i decided to take the tips of that, i was dating with a girl but i decided to leave her and it doesnt make me bad being serius i was on a cool state of mind going at the gym a lot

One of the best mental states I've ever been in actually, grown up and out of highschool. Anyone who turns their back on redpill is either lying, not being genuine or was never part of it to begin with.
