Your religious views or lack thereof have nothing to do with liberal or conservative. LIBERAL (Democrat ) or CONSERVATIVE (Republican) is simply a view on policy.

If you are conservative, you value personal freedom and accountability. You dont believe in a government that is powerful enough to give you everything (which also means it is powerful enough to take everthing). You dont believe in a government that wants to divide the population into little groups to pit them againt each other. You want freedom of opportunity not forced equality.

If you are a Democrat, you want to pander to made up victim groups. You want to be a part of forced group think ( all the PC garbage). You believe in taxing the hell out of people who have worked their ass off to get ahead. You dont believe that people can succeed on their own, and if you do, well you "need to pay your fair share." Which is total BS as the wealthiest people allready pay far more % wise.

Look at who is running for office on the democrat side. All if them. What a bunch of lunatics. Do you really want to be a part of a group who looks to be lead by the likes of Sanders, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Warren, Harris, Booker, and all the others? My god what a shit show of people.

Trump, like him personally or not, has in fact done a great job for the economy on multiple levels. You cannot deny those facts. That is due to conservative fiscal policies. He is great on working for American energy independance. He is NOT a racist, again the Democrats doing the pit people against each other. And if you say he is a racist please quote or link proof. I have seen none of it. He is called racist, homophobic, and everything else. But always with no proof. Just typical liberal bull shit.

But conservative vs liberal is not about one person. Again, it is about your values. You are on the correct path. LIBERALISM is a mental disorder.

Just because you identify as republican doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything a "republican" agrees with.

Sometimes I agree with a republican, sometimes I agree with a democrat. It doesn't really matter.

Atheism has a fairly clear definition. Sure, there's a little wiggle room there, but either you agree with the idea of God/Gods or you don't.

Conservative amounts to virtue signalling.

It's like women claiming to be virgins. Maybe they are, maybe not, but how the hell are you going to prove it?. Review years of chest camera footage from the rig that their parents made them wear? Not that virginity actually matters any more than conservatism.

Every self-assigned conservative thinks they're the true conservative and other people are fence-sitters.

This is why you should treat labels like "conservative" as just another shit test.

What IS a republican these days? At least Dubya republicans shared a few values with Ronnie republicans. The shit that Trump espouses has NOTHING in common with past republicans. Cheating on your wife and grabbing pussy sure doesn't sound very conservative to me. Unless the central goal is enriching the wealthy and shitting on the common folk, then I can see the common thread.

In countries like Australia we have a Conservative party and they do a good job of bringing a nice balance to left and right. But America is farked and the corporate elite run that country. Think of conservative more as a set of values, whether they come from religion, a knightly code or a bazooka gum wrapper. Liberal is a different set of values, from the same or different tenets. I've seen one christian clergy opposing planned parent and one in support in my town.

The democrat party in USA is not liberal. It is attacking a lot of core liberal values.

The red pill is liberal. Liberalism is understanding and accepting human nature as it is.

Religions and political parties all are authoritarian, and attempt to define/regulate human nature instead of looking at it as it is.

Atheism has nothing to do with any political party.

As someone who's been referred to as the King of Norway, allow me to give a lil' polisci 3500 course here:

Almost ALL Congressional legislation (around 85 - 90%) can be measured on a strict one-dimension (or continuum) from Right to Left, with right (Conservatism) meaning less government, and left (Liberalism, or at least "Liberalism" as understood in the U.S, not invoking the Lockean sense of the word), meaning more government. With conservatism, it's essentially "every person for themselves, survival of the fittest" which is merely Darwin/Spencer taken to its logical conclusion. The left, with more government/welfare support, is the Gospel of Jesus taken to its social policy enactment.

So, yes, conservatism and atheism ARE compatible, and I say this as someone who only qualifies as one of those.
