I decided to ask you here because you’re supposed to lift. I’m 15, 6’2 and about 190 lbs. I’m not lean right now at about 20% bodyfat but I’ve barely started lifting so I’ll put on a decent amount of muscle mass the first few months. I look pretty good but I have too much lower back fat (love handles). Even though I’m not very muscular I get called big guy quite often because of my frame. I was thinking of doing body recomp, basically eating at maintenance calories or slightly bulking and gaining muscle mass, but a little bird told me that being lean gets you much more attention.

I’ve got my diet and workouts in check, I’m wondering about how I should go about bodyfat levels and calorie intake. Does recomp sound good or should I get down to 13% bf first? I can post a pic if it’d be helpful.
