Women don't want to be "controlled", per se. They're like children.

They want to feel secure, like all of the major shit is handled, so all they need to worry about is what to wear, how to suck your dick, and whether to order the cranberry or elderberry martini. If they have to stress out and worry about actual problems, they suck at being girlfriends. Just one stressful issue is enough to spread a girl too thin.

But women don't want to be completely unrestricted. Like children, they thrive in a structured environment with boundaries. But also like children, they don't do well and act out if you present them with a list of rules and verbal demands and expectations. That's what weak people who don't have things under control do. You have to have expectations (if you just let them walk all over you or do whatever they want unrestricted, you're weak and they resent you and act out). But you don't enforce those expectations by presenting them overtly and making threats and demands like a weak person. You just withdraw attention for minor issues and dump the woman for major ones.

A woman sees your expectations by inferring them from the exapmle you set and the way you live, as she acts in a way she thinks will please you in an effort to earn your love. Like a child.

You're not showing enough investment in the relationships. Your DGAF attitude is so extreme that they're assuming there's no chance of locking you down into a commitment. It's one thing to not act jealous, but if a girl likes you enough, they get super wet at possessive behavior. It shows you're invested.
