I've always thought that cheating is a scummy thing to do, but everyone is different. If she is a good catch and you respect her, then I wouldn't cheat, but if you don't see it going anywhere, just end it with her and fuck other girls. Doing it with a clean conscience is better than cheating and feeling shitty. Just my 2 cents.

I’m currently in a 3-4 month LTR. I told myself i’d cheat because who cares.

I only made out with a girl about a month in and at first I didn’t care. But after a while, it hit me. I felt extremely shitty and all I did was makeout. I actually like this girl and vetted her for a reason. Told myself never again.

TRP is amoral so do as you wish. But for me personally, TRP has taught me to also be honest and an overall good person.

Ok, maybe my opinion is a little different from that of the others that posted. You have to focus on what YOU want first.

I hope it doesn’t happen, but someday she might leave you for a higher status man, that’s just life. She will do it because she has to, it’s her nature and your well being will not be considered in the decision.

If one day you are married with kids, I understand the hesitancy to cheat because the stakes are higher and you want to be close and make your child have a role model. For now you are just exploring, and fucking other girls is part of the process. Feeling guilty for that is lacking perspective on what should come first.

I see this as a personal challenge for my life.

Why would I want to cheat? Possibly because I'm in an LTR or marriage (can't cheat if you're not, right?) and I'm not getting whatever thing I feel like I need from it.

Well... if that's true, why am I allowing myself to be in a relationship that doesn't meet my needs? Why did I position myself in this situation that wasn't ideal for me?

FWIW I no longer pursue LTRs, and I have also never cheated. I've been cheated on several times though. I wonder whether those things are related?

If it pleases you to hurt the girl youre with (which it would if she found out) then do it, because you are what matters and if that kinda shit makes you happy, then so be it.

Otherwise if you actually are happy in the LTR, more so than if you were single and spinning plates, then don't, as its a sure fire way of ending the LTR.
