Like the title says, I've had girls say other guys are attractive/hot to me midway through conversation and just after they finish talking to another guy. Another common one is saying how much more attractive <insert favourite actor> is than me.

I've read the rational behind this and a method to handle this somewhere previously a while ago, but it has slipped my mind what best practice is and I can't seem to find a post on it easily (currently just ignoring or using A&A). Insight on the reason why girls do this and good responses to it are appreciated, or even a link to a TRP post would be great.
