Are HVMs attractive?

For me attraction and chemistry doesn’t grow. It’s either there or it isn’t. To answer your question, yes there are attractive HVM but they are a smaller percentage lol.

I think a HVM is one who you find attractive who also has the core values and traits that signify worth he does not have to be objectively hot to others.

The attractiveness of their face isn't as important as how they carry themselves, their confidence, their health, their cleanliness, and their style. Never date an ugly faced man who doesn't take care of the above. I got tricked by an ugly man who faked all of the above. Once I was in the relationship he let himself go. This is why we vet for months before we get too emotionally involved. It's also why we encourage dating multiple men. It's never fun to watch a supposed HVM turn into a LVM. We're left confused and wondering what happened to the HVM. The answer is HE NEVER EXISTED. It was a trick.

First, I think we need to separate HVM from looks, money, height or whatever subjective measure that have no bearing on character. One can make 40k a year and be HVM, be a Barack Obama type husband but strike out on the genetics lottery. Attraction is relative and thus a complete separate issue.

But on attraction, I would say of course you shouldn’t COMMIT or MARRYs someone that you’re not COMPLETELY attracted to (notice I didn’t say “go out on date with” and the use of “completely”). That is because attraction is a very complex thing.

The first thing I would ask is how are you meeting these guys? On OLD? Keep in mind that guys don’t have the selfie bench that we do, so a lot of them won’t have great pics for their profiles. A lot of times, I’ve found guys on OLD that I almost swiped off, but decided to give it a chance for whatever reason and be pleasantly surprised when we met in real life, so much better looking, their pics didn’t do them justice. Also so much of my attraction to males is charisma, disposition...etc. And you can only experience that through spending time with them.

As someone has said here, I believe attraction has potential to grow. I remember this dude, when I first met him, I thought he was dorky. But as time went by I found him to be so attractive. The way he talked, his walk, energy, all just became so attractive to me. So, when you find a guy you don’t completely like, also consider whether there is potential for attraction to grow. For me attraction can grow on guys who don’t quite tick ALL of my wishlist (height, hairline, hair, complexion, muscle, teeth). One or two things are usually missing. Of course this is a dangerous game to play, as it requires a bit of time investment with the person, so really pace yourself. Usually you would know by the first few dates if it’s a possibility.
