First, BUY A WATCH. Yes, even in the 21st century when we all have phones in our pockets a watch is still a valuable tool. Having the exact time in your field of vision at almost all times is crucial when it comes to timing. It wasn't until I started wearing a watch and keeping track of my time that I realized I was always in a hurry when I had no need to be. I always like to arrive early to places (if you are on time, you are late) and I always felt in a hurry, but I started to actually use time to my advantage.

Next, you have to let time work for you. Know that THE TIME WILL PASS ANYWAY. If you are choosing to waste your time on /r/funny or whatever, just realize that time is going to pass no matter what. Take the time to think if that is how you want to be spending your time. Sure it is, you don't have to do things til later right? Wrong. YOU CAN DO THEM NOW. Time now is the same as time later. A second is a second, an hour is an hour. Don't waste them when you can use them.

Lastly, you will never be seen as hurried, if you are already done. If you get on top of problems IMMEDIATELY you will be in complete control of your time. Don't be the person working on things, that process can take as long as you let it. You want to be the person already done. Do it early, do it right, do it once. This also makes it so you don't have the weight of all these deadlines or works in progress to complete.

Timing is crucial to the punchline of a joke. But the same mechanism likewise applies to war. Why? Basic human psychology. Timing is based on your environment, that which is immediately visible and on the extraneous variables which pertain to the scenario. I'll give some dumb comedy based examples. Making a farting noise randomly may be funny, it may be seen as immature or annoying. Making a farting noise precisely as someone sits down has far more chance to be perceived as funny rather than annoying. Why? Because it is at least believable that said person farted as they sat down. If you walked past a dog in the passenger seat of a car and you said "look that dog's driving a car" people would look and see it in the passenger and think you're an idiot. If you were on the other side of the road with the same people and the dog stood up in the passenger looked, from a distance, as if it was in the driver's seat and then said "look that dog's driving a car!" it would be hilarious. Why? Because it's believable and relevant. I realise I'm giving really dumb examples here, but it's a simple way to highlight an intricately vast and serious point without going full essay mode.

In PUA, this means slowing your voice down, because talking fast indicates you need to get out as much value as possible before you lose her attention. Someone with actual value wouldn't care, and they would have the frame of "people always wait for me to finish what I'm saying, why is this girl any different?". Talking slower and making her wait for you to finish your point is a display of abundance.

The same goes for conversations with prospective clients. The same goes for job interviews.

This is an attitude that extends to more than just talking; it's a matter of frame. When I was younger, I worked menial jobs for bosses that insisted I look busy. "Sense of urgency" was the attitude they always wanted me to display, even when my duties were completed for the moment. "Find something to do, wipe the counter down again, and do it fast so that it looks like you have a sense of urgency", they'd say.

Why? To put me in an inferior frame. They didn't even know how to articulate it or know why they insisted on it, but that is the reason. It's them consciously attempting to reframe me so that I either looked like I did not have abundance, or even better: so I felt like I didn't. It took the power away from me and put it in their hands or their customer's hands. And while this is good for their business, it is not always good for your career progression. This law has a lot of overlap with Law 30: "Make your accomplishments seem effortless".

This is something even the ancient greeks understood. Look up the word Kairos for more information.

It basically means the same thing, the most opportune moment, the supreme moment for an action. The best possible time to execute your move for maximum effect. This skill alone will take you far.
