Alpha is defined by certain traits, usually correlated with sexual success but not always... For example, if an alpha lands himself in jail, his sexual success may be limited dispite being sexually attractive to some women. It also depends on what you define as successful, he may end up with a large quantity of women, who are of low quality. However if you would call being successful as a committed LTR, these are not those women.

Yes, to me.

My definition of alpha isn't "sexually successful" or even "successful" but just having that type A aggressive personality.

Both a 50 year old bald dude prone to road rage and the Superman looking CEO are alphas but only one is attractive to the average woman.

Alpha is a contextual term. TRPers conflate multiple different terms.

When trpers use the ethological version that depends on status in a social hierarchy or standard (level of success/failure), they mean "alpha of the SMP". The SMP is the standard. A man who isn't successful sexually (involuntarily) is by definition not an alpha of TRP.

The traits don't directly define the alpha. Success does. Those other traits are correlated to that success. They get discussed because people want to know if they help cause the success.

I'd say yes.

Alpha is a spectrum, though.

You can be a super, super dumb alpha and terrorize your family and loved ones with your personality and unemployment. Or you can be a billionaire making critical decisions that impact the lives of more than just your family, but everyone financially invested in your company from share holders, to employees, to clients that rely on your services.

You can be an alpha fish in the wrong pond, so you never get laid; I'm imagining it's possible, though not likely. Let's not forget, God gave us unbelievably dumb women, same as men.

Genghis Khan was alphaest alpha you can probably think of, because he had lot of childrens and lot of them were alpha/high status themselves or even became Khan with tons of children of high status....

On these standards, your random chad that fucks lot of women is nothing. He has no kids, he has built nothing.

So, technically, Alphaness is not sexual success but reproductive success. But yeah doesn't really fit today.

Like someone I used to know who loses to me from appearance to everything else and has no girlfriend and has never kissed a girl much less talk to one despite being able to operate vehicles, comb his short hair and is very professional, politically-correct and obedient in his work? Of course not.
