I had to pick a flair and this seemed like the closest one.

I know OLD is like shifting through dung for a diamond but social distancing and the fact that I surround myself with women primarily means I have to use the tools I have in front of me. But Tinder surprised me tonight with their latest gimmick.

Swipe Night has been popping up the past few nights and I guess I got on at the right time since it started for me when I clicked on the app. Essentially you are put in this first person scenario at a party and every decision you make progresses the story. Kind of weird for a dating app but I'm killing time here, why not?

There is some more off the wall stuff that makes the story progress and I guess every weekend you get a new segment? But what impressed me was what they did after. So some of the choices you make involve whether you tell one member of a couple that you saw the other cheating, whether you are on social media during an important event or not, and whether you help an animal or a random person. Like I said, these choices influence the story for you and it kind of gives you insight for yourself.

Once the little segment is over, you get put into the traditional style of Tinder. But now you get to see what the guy selected for his story. You get to see whether he was honest or not with the person who was cheated on, how he uses social media, and his decision making skills. Obviously we are always vetting, but I must say I was impressed with the additional level of vetting that Tinder has provided for us! Unfortunately its only over the weekends but hey, it's definitely a start.
