You don't need to prove your innocence. You're innocent until proven guilty. What you need to prove is there isn't enough evidence to consider you guilty.

Well, really, it would have to start at the definition of rape. How do you define rape? Is it unwanted sexual contact? How do you define unwanted or wanted?

I was reading a case earlier this week where a man is being accused of rape. He presented a text message from the woman that said that she wanted to have sex that night. He testified that she was giving him a hand job and she agreed that she did. But the prosecution is still arguing that neither of those are consent. So how do you define consent? Is a man expected to ask "is it ok if we have sex?" every time he thrusts? Every time he touches another inch of her skin?

Really, there is only one way to prove innocence, and that is to prove that you were no where near the woman at the time that she claims the rape took place. I don't know, prove that you were at a bar with friends, or at work or something. If you actually had sex, and you believed that it she consented, you're basically fucked. It's her word against yours, and a man's word is rarely taken over a woman's.

Probably a good defense would be a burden of proof defense. That seems to always be a good standby.

Get a lawyer.

Before that, document every interaction with a woman. Install a CCTV at work and at home. Archive every email and text message with timestamps. You and your lawyer will need all that to help smash lying faces of your accusers in. Even then, it may be a close run thing, with your career destroyed.

Just look up the Jian Ghomeshi case.

Even after he was acquitted, and his accusers conclusively proven to be pathological liars who should have been thrown in jail for calculated perjury, there were feminists trying to peddle junk and claiming that we should have taken say so of the women because they were woman.

A remarkable female faculty member has a YouTube channel who entirely destroys these nincompoops' "arguments". Google for Janice Fiamengo. She has discussed this case in depth.

As a general rule keep copies/archives/backups of all digital communications such as texts, chats, online dating messages and such. If you have any inkling that you are about to get hit with an accusation then record phone calls as well and make notes of everything that happened while it is still fresh in your mind. This also applies to any third party communications that might be relevant. If the charge is laid, hand everything over to your lawyer.

Dude, don't worry about it. You won't likely get convicted regardless. Basically, rape is a complicated crime, and I do wish more people knew that. But they don't, they just say, oh, they definitely just lied.

The whole justice system is built on the idea that one is innocent until proven guilty, imagine a country where it was up to the defendant to prove they didn't commit a crime. It'll be like Saudi Arabia.
