Having spent years in various "sexually open" communities, I've seen the opposite (high SMV women who know their value) just as often as what you describe.

I agree with Dragoness.

Not just "lower SMV" but low SMV.

The only women who I think would agree to this are women dating very handsome and very rich men.

And even those women may have a few dalliances on the side out of spite.

But they know not to fuck up a money and diamond gravy train.

From looking online I typically see the two scenarios:

High SMV male: They're only looking for another girl to bring into the bedroom. Seems like there are boundaries, and it's almost exclusively sexual. The only real danger here, I think, is maybe post 40 if they get a smart, pretty 20 year old, then the guy is going to have a hard time staying with the primary partner.

Average or less SMV male: The woman is cucking him. There aren't two ways about it. An open relationship is just code for the woman knowing higher SMV males are sexually available to her and she's found an 'equal' work around to get at them. Average men have no sexual power. It's an unequal relationship posing as equal.

The position of power changes depending on how replaceable each party is. In my uni job, I needed well-paid work that was close to my non-city campus, allowed for enough time for full-time uni work and all I had to offer that the other students didn't was some retail experience. I was replaceable, that job wasn't so easily. They changed my hours I stuck around.

Now I have the occasional email from contacts, my job, while I enjoy it, is replaceable. I am also replaceable, but not to the same extent I used to be.

An 8 can find another 4, a 4 can't snag another 8 as easily. An 8 can generally get another 8 without too much work. It's not just physical in relationships, but overall RMV does affect how much each will put up with.
