Following on from the brilliant thread linked above there's one point I want to tweak when it comes to moral relativism vs moral absolutism between TBP and TRP. Philosophically I don't consider myself a moral relativist in any sphere of life but nevertheless find myself defaulting to TRP over TBP in their analysis about men and women.

My view which differs from the OP in the listed thread is simply that trying to import moral judgment onto the sexual market place is illogical the same as it would be for any other market place. As long as men and women view sex differently and have different goals sex with commitment and sex without commitment will always be an exchange. Sex is just as precious a commodity from women as the income and homestead that comes from commitment is a precious commodity from men.

With that said I don't see how it can make any sense for TBP to aim for "goodness in your heart" appeals to try to prevent men from pursuing their own self interest. This happens in two ways, firstly trying to inflate their value when sex is scarce and women hold all the cards and secondly to get the best value girl for marriage when they hold the cards for commitment (declining sluts and getting their best possible price)

This is the same kind of disingenuous reasoning socialists employ (your moral inferiority causes you to take, take take instead you should give like I claim to do). They expect wishful thinking to negate the fact that all market places come down to self interest, while trying to deny their own self interest.

The more important worrying thing for me however is the woman or government bureaucrat who makes these types of appeals never acknowledge that once they're submitted to they can enforce their own unchecked superiority or that they benefit from it. In the same way bureaucrats get wealthy handling the wealth from everyone else women are able to increase their clout by clamping down on men who try to exploit opportunities for their own benefit but turning a blind eye to women doing the same (alpha fucks/beta bucks, constricting sex after marriage).

There's not a single market place that runs on kindness or morality so it makes no sense to try to enforce benevolence when someone has a conflict of interests. All we can reasonably expect is that people look out for themselves. When TBP accuses TRP of being misogynist they mistakenly assume that morality is involved when people make consenting discretionary exchanges. Or at the very least they should justify these collectivist assumptions because currently they're just begging the question.
