In light of the recent submissions regarding polygyny and hypergamy, this post is aimed at the few remaining users who seem to doubt this, hence the title.

IME no one who has spent enough time thinking about gender issues and the sex/dating scene denies that it is easier for a woman to get casual sex than a man. This sets up polygyny in the ethological sense, as the ratio of sexy women to sexy men exceeds unity.

Non-redpillers, do you agree, agree with qualifications, or disagree with the following?

  • We as a species practice pair-bonding, but in conjunction with covert short-term polygyny. Monogamy is often suboptimal, especially for women and the minority of sexy men, but for a lot of men, monogamy is the best option they have.

  • Therefore almost every woman to some extent has a tendency to await/seek a more sexy man than she currently is paired with. (Those men and women with less restricted sociosexuality will have more of this proclivity.)

  • Modern societies disincentivize monogamy for women by birth control/giving women career opportunities/feminist ideology, and will encourage polygyny even for paired people.

Redpillers, will you accept this ("humans are polygynous, ergo...") as a reformulation of the hypergamy thesis (that does not use the word "hypergamy", and is therefore advantageous for outreach)?

Those who argue with redpillers on this, what is your point? that we are monogamous enough or that we should fast forward on this poly-whatever-y and men who are disadvantaged by this system should accept their lot silently? If I am strawmanning you then please let me know.
